28-day completion
The standard window between auction date and the date the buyer must complete in a traditional unconditional auction.
In simple terms
From hammer to keys: 28 days. That's the whole timetable.
Example
Auction on 1 April. Completion must happen by 29 April. Miss it, and you pay interest plus damages.
If you're buying
Don't bid unless your funds (cash or bridging) can clear within 28 days. Most mortgages can't.
If you're selling
Why traditional auction is the fastest legitimate route to a sale.
